Lord's Supper - Sunday, December 6

Next Sunday we will observe the Lord’s Supper. Ask God to prepare your heart as together we come to the Table of Christ. Be in prayer and consider reading 1 Corinthians 11:17-34 in preparation. Chapelgate’s Session believes that to be admitted to the Lord’s Table, one must be baptized, believe in and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Savior of sinners, and receive and rest upon Him alone for salvation as He is offered in the Gospel. Baptized children of members may be approved to regularly take the Lord’s Supper after examination and approval by their parents and approval by a Chapelgate elder.

Officer Nominees for Election

The Session has called the annual congregational meeting to be held Sunday, January 3, 2010, at both worship services. The purpose of this meeting will be to elect or re-appoint men to the offices of Ruling Elder and Deacon. All communing members of Chapelgate Presbyterian Church may vote on the election of officers. We ask non-members not to vote.
The Session has approved the following men to stand for office -
Elder: Randy Bradley, David Conord, Jim Cusick, Chris Paulis, Joe Raine, Joe Solomon, Alan Welch, Alan Wenell.
Deacon: Kerry Clark, Ken Derrenbacher, Jack Fitzberger, David Pelletier, Tommy Shaffer, Jeff Silveira, Roger Young.
Please pray for these men.

Kids & Christmas

Pick up an Advent packet, one per child, upstairs outside the Media Center on Sunday mornings, to help remind our kids about the true meaning of Christmas. The packets are filled with coloring pages, crafts, puzzles, and activities to guide our thoughts to Jesus’ birth.

Coffee and Chat

The Titus 2 women will have women available near the nursery area to sit down and have a cup of coffee and chat about a particular topic on Sunday mornings. We typically meet during the Sunday School hour at 9 a.m. Feel free to only drop in for topics that interest you. In November and December, we are discussing how to have a good Christmas on a budget as well as ideas on how to honor Christ with our holiday traditions. In January, we plan to discuss health-related topics. We are open to ideas and willing to try to find women who can be helpful for a range of topics. If you have questions or ideas for topics to discuss, feel free to contact Barbara Adams at BLAdams6644@aol.com
